Still Knee-Deep In Final Exams, But A Quick Update

Waterspouts over Mobile Bay, AL this morning as a line of storms moved through. This is a few miles away from me. Picture posted to James Spann's Facebook page.
Well, I'm still on full throttle for final exams, so I haven't had much time to pay attention to the weather much less anything else. It looks like the next few days will be relatively calm, with just a few pockets of isolated severe weather.

This afternoon, some damaging winds and possibly 1.00" hail is possible along the coast of the Carolinas, and the threat will shift to southern Texas during the day tomorrow. Elsewhere, just plain old rain and thunderstorms are expected.

Temperatures should moderate rather nicely towards the end of this week as a cold front moves through much of the eastern half of the country, and the rain should clear out with it.

The HPC is forecasting a ton of rain for the southern Gulf Coast over the next five days, so watch out for flooding if you live anywhere from Texas eastward through Florida.

Again, sorry for the short post. I'll have more in-depth stuff, including a recap of the severe weather season so far, starting on Sunday when I get back home for summer break.
